Composition of maps

Given maps $f:X \rightarrow Y$ and $g:Y \rightarrow Z$, their composite $g\circ f:X \rightarrow Z$ is the map defined by
$$(g\circ f)(x)=g(f(x))\quad\text{for all }x\in X.$$
