Comme les points B, C et D sont alignés, BCA^+ACD^=180°\widehat{BCA} + \widehat{ACD}=180\degree.
De plus la somme des angles d’un triangle fait 180 degrés. Donc BAC^+BCA^+ABC^=180°\widehat{BAC}+\widehat{BCA}+\widehat{ABC}=180\degree.
Donc ACD^=BAC^+ABC^\widehat{ACD}=\widehat{BAC}+\widehat{ABC}. En particulier ACD^\widehat{ACD} est plus grand que BAC^\widehat{BAC} et ABC^\widehat{ABC}.
