Posons M=A+ωBM=A+\omega B, où ω=12+i32\omega=-\frac12+i\frac{\sqrt3}{2}. On a
MM=(A+ωB)(A+ωˉB)=A2+ωBA+ωˉAB+B2=AB+ωBA+ωˉAB=ω(BAAB),\begin{aligned} M\overline{M} &=(A+\omega B)(A+\bar\omega B)=A^{2}+\omega BA+\bar\omega AB+B^{2}\\ &=AB+\omega BA+\bar\omega AB=\omega\,(BA-AB), \end{aligned}car ω+1=ω\overline\omega+1=-\omega.
