Définition

Soit (Ω,T)(\Omega,\mathcal T) un espace probabilisable. On appelle probabilité sur Ω\Omega toute application
P:T⟶RP:\mathcal T\longrightarrow \mathbb Rvérifiant :

  • P(∅)=0etP(Ω)=1,P(\varnothing)=0 \qquad\text{et}\qquad P(\Omega)=1,
  • la propriété de σ\sigma-additivité : si (Ai)i∈I(A_i)_{i\in I} est une famille au plus dénombrable d’événements deux à deux disjoints, alors
    P ⁣(⋃i∈IAi)=∑i∈IP(Ai).P\!\left(\bigcup_{i\in I} A_i\right) = \sum_{i\in I} P(A_i).
Remarques
  • Comme P(∅)=0P(\varnothing)=0 et P(Ω)=1P(\Omega)=1, alors on a
    ∀A∈T,P(A)∈[0,1],\forall A\in\mathcal T, \qquad P(A)\in[0,1],
