Intuition

(a+b)n=k=0n(nk)ankbk.(a+b)^n=\sum_{k=0}^n \binom{n}{k}a^{n-k}b^k.

Exemples
  • Pour n=2n=2 :
    (a+b)2=(20)a2+(21)ab+(22)b2=a2+2ab+b2.(a+b)^2=\binom{2}{0} a^2+\binom{2}{1} a b+\binom{2}{2} b^2=a^2+2 a b+b^2.On retrouve ainsi l'identité remarquable classique.

Practice this concept with exercises

    2. Développer (a+b)3(a+b)^{3} à la main, c’est-à-dire en écrivant :
      (a+b)3=(a+b)(a+b)(a+b).(a+b)^{3}=(a+b)(a+b)(a+b).
