Définition formelle

Soit XX un espace topologique. On dit que XX est parfait si aucun point de xx n’est isolé.

Ceci revient à dire que pour tout xXx \in X, xx est un point d’accumulation de XX, autrement dit que tout voisinage de xx contient un point yxy \neq x.

Exemples
  • La droite réelle R\mathbb{R} et la droite rationnelle Q\mathbb{Q} sont parfaits.
  • Tout espace vectoriel normé est parfait.
  • L’espace [0,1]{2}[0,1] \sqcup \lbrace 2 \rbrace munit de la topologie induite par R\mathbb{R} n’est pas parfait.
