Un polynôme unitaire est un polynôme dont le coefficient du terme de plus haut degré est égal à 11.

Exemples :
  • X3−2X+5X^3-2X+5 est un polynôme unitaire, tandis que 2X3−X+12X^3-X+1 ne l’est pas.

Remarque

  • Si on a K\mathbb{K} un corps et P∈K[X]/{0}P\in \mathbb{K}[X] /\{0\} alors il est toujours possible de se ramener à un polynôme unitaire en divisant PP par son coefficient dominant.
