φ~ ⁣:A[X1,…,Xn]→B\widetilde{\varphi}\colon A[X_{1},\dots,X_{n}]\to Btel que :

  • ∀1⩽i⩽n,φ~(Xi)=bi.\forall 1\leqslant i\leqslant n, \widetilde{\varphi}(X_{i})=b_{i}.
  • ∀a∈A,φ~(a)=φ(a).\forall a\in A, \widetilde{\varphi}(a)=\varphi(a).
On le note φ~=evX1→b1,…,Xn→bn\widetilde{\varphi}=\mathrm{ev}_{X_{1}\to b_{1},\dots,X_{n}\to b_{n}}.
Exemples
On pose alors φ~=evX→X ⁣:Z[X]→A[X]\widetilde{\varphi}=\mathrm{ev}_{X\to X}\colon\mathbb{Z}[X]\rightarrow A[X]. Ce morphisme vérifie
    φ~(∑k=0nakXk)=∑k=0n(1A+⋯+1A)⏟ak foisXk=∑k=0nf(ak)Xk.\widetilde{\varphi}\left(\sum_{k=0}^{n}a_{k}X^{k}\right)=\sum_{k=0}^{n}\underbrace{(1_{A}+\cdots+1_{A})}_{a_{k}\text{ fois}}X^{k}=\sum_{k=0}^{n}f(a_{k})X^{k}.
  • On veut montrer qu’on a un isomorphisme d’anneaux Z[i]≃Z[X]/<X2+1>\mathbb{Z}[i]\simeq \mathbb{Z}[X]/\left<X^{2}+1\right> où Z[i]={ a+ib∣(a,b)∈Z2 }\mathbb{Z}[i]=\set{a+ib\mid (a,b)\in\mathbb{Z}^{2}} désigne l’ensemble des entiers de Gauss.
On part du morphisme d’anneaux Z→Z[i]\mathbb{Z}\to \mathbb{Z}[i] puis on l’étend en le morphisme d’évaluation φ~=evX→i ⁣:Z[X]→Z[i].\widetilde{\varphi}=\mathrm{ev}_{X\to i}\colon \mathbb{Z}[X]\to\mathbb{Z}[i]. Les éléments φ~(1)=1\widetilde{\varphi}(1)=1 et φ~(X)=i\widetilde{\varphi}(X)=i engendrent le groupe Z[i]\mathbb{Z}[i] et sont dans l’image de φ~\widetilde{\varphi} donc φ~\widetilde{\varphi} est surjectif. De plus, on a φ~(X2+1)=φ~(X)2+φ~(1)=i2+1=0\widetilde{\varphi}(X^{2}+1)=\widetilde{\varphi}(X)^{2}+\widetilde{\varphi}(1)=i^{2}+1=0 donc <X2+1>⊂ker⁡(φ~)\left<X^{2}+1\right>\subset\ker(\widetilde{\varphi}). On a alors φ~(P)=φ~(X2+1)φ~(Q)+φ~(R)=a+ib=0\widetilde{\varphi}(P)=\widetilde{\varphi}(X^{2}+1)\widetilde{\varphi}(Q)+\widetilde{\varphi}(R)=a+ib=0 donc a=b=0a=b=0 puis R=0R=0 donc P∈<X2+1>.P\in\left<X^{2}+1\right>.
    Z[X]/<X2+1>≃Z[i].\mathbb{Z}[X]/\left<X^{2}+1\right>\simeq \mathbb{Z}[i].
