But

Soit II un intervalle et a∈C(I,R)a\in\mathcal C(I,\mathbb R). On veut résoudre l’équation
y′+a(t)y=0(H)y'+a(t)y=0 \qquad (H)c’est-à-dire déterminer toutes les fonctions yy dérivables sur II telles que
∀t∈I,y′(t)+a(t)y(t)=0.\forall t\in I, \qquad y'(t)+a(t)y(t)=0.

Résolution de l’équation différentielle

Soit AA une primitive de aa sur II. On multiplie l’équation (H)(H) par eA(t)e^{A(t)} :
(H)  ⟺  (y′+a(t)y)eA(t)=0.(H) \iff \bigl(y'+a(t)y\bigr)e^{A(t)}=0.Or
A′(t)=a(t),A'(t)=a(t),donc
(H)  ⟺  y′eA(t)+yA′(t)eA(t)=0.(H) \iff y'e^{A(t)} + yA'(t)e^{A(t)} =0.Ainsi,
(H)  ⟺  ddt(y eA(t))=0.(H) \iff \frac{d}{dt}\Bigl(y\,e^{A(t)}\Bigr)=0.On en déduit que
∃λ∈R,∀t∈I,y(t)eA(t)=λ.\exists \lambda\in\mathbb R, \qquad \forall t\in I, \qquad y(t)e^{A(t)}=\lambda.

Résumé des solutions

Les solutions de (H)(H) sont les fonctions
t⟼λe−A(t),λ∈R.t\longmapsto \lambda e^{-A(t)}, \qquad \lambda\in\mathbb R.Autrement dit,
S(H)={t↦λe−A(t)  ;  λ∈R}.\mathcal S(H) = \left\{ t\mapsto \lambda e^{-A(t)} \; ;\; \lambda\in\mathbb R \right\}.(On a une infinité de solutions, chacune étant déterminée par le choix de la constante λ\lambda.)

Practice this concept with exercises

  • Résoudre, sur R\mathbb{R}, l'équation différentielle suivante :
    (H):(1+x2)y′−2xy=0.(H): \qquad(1+x^{2})y'-2xy = 0.
